Setting MP3 songs as custom ringtones in Windows Phone 8

Pre-steps(Important):
1. Before following the steps, ensure that the mp3 files have Title, Subtitle and Album names. See Post-steps for instructions to enter


Steps:
1. Connect your device to computer
2. Copy the mp3 file to 'Ringtones' folder(either in phone memory or SD card)
3. Go to WP Settings -> Personalization -> Ringtones+Sounds
4. Click on Ringtone, you should be able to see the copied mp3 files  under 'Custom'


Post-steps:
1. If you had already copied the mp3 files to respective folder but still not able to see them under WP Settings -> Ringtones, copy them to a computer
2. Right click and open 'Properties'
3. Go to 'Details' tab
4. Enter values for Title, Subtitle and Album
5. Click Apply/Ok
6. Copy the files back to Windows Phone and follow the steps as mentioned in the 'Steps' section

Filing ITR Online - Simple steps

1.       Download ITR 1 excel file from https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/

2.       Fill in all the data, it’s pretty self–explanatory

3.       Click on “Calculate Tax” in the “Income Details” tab

a.       If you have taxes due, you need to pay Self-Assessment Tax at https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp (Challan No. 280)

4.       Click on “Generate” in the “Income Details” tab

5.       Create an account on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/, if you don’t already have one and upload the xml file generated in step #4

6.       Take a print out of ITR V, sign it and send it to CPC B’lore – details will be in the ITR V itself

Plan the below things in advance:

1. Train tickets (you can choose either Ajanta Express or Sai Nagar Express): If Ajanta express (will take 12 hours), get down at Nagarsol and then take a cab from there. (45 Km to Shiridi and they will take around 500/- for a family of five)
2. Book accommodation in advance. You can book it online and lot of hotels are available.
3. Important thing is to book Arti/Darshan on-line at the below site and it’s very easy and its very very helpful. https://online.sai.org.in/landingPage.do

                if you do the booking for darshan/arti online, then you will avoid standing in the queues for hours and then getting darshan pass over there. Also for darshan, they give first preference to online bookings so that you will get an opportunity to stand just in front of Sai Baba vigrah.

 

Once you reach there, then the below things you can plan over there

From Shiridi, you can go for three trips.

1. Nasik trip: its total 350 km (both up and down) and you can cover Nasik(some 6 temples), Triambakeswaram(jyothirling), Bhadra giri temple, Godavari puttuka, etc.  If you book a cab they will take 2500/- to 3000/  for a complete cab or per person 300/- on sharing tempo traveler
2. Aurangabad trip: its total 320 km(up and down) and you can cover Grushneswar(jyothirling),Ellora caves, Mini taj mahal etc., and same charges as above
3. Ajanta Caves: This covers Shanti singnapur, and one temple and etc., (not much info but similar as above)

Note: 1) Most corrupted towards triambakeshwar temple and you have to be careful when dealing things.

                2) Famous thieves at Grushenewar temple so you have to be careful

                3) It will be cold during December and January. So, make sure you take enough cloths/bedsheets/thick cloths especially for infants/elders.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. 1 digital passport photo [ 240 px width * 320 px height , Size <= 100KB ]

STEPS

1. Go to http://www.ceoandhra.nic.in
2. Browse to E-Registration -> Form 6 ( New Enrollment )
3. Fill in your details and upload a photograph.
4. If you don't know your Assembly Constituency, use the "Know Your Assembly Constituency" link to find it. In Hyderabad region, we are in one of "Hyderabad" or "Ranga Reddy"districts.
5. If you don't know your post-office, try searching on http://www.indiapost.gov.in/ with your PIN code.
6. Fill in your mobile number and email address.
7. If you already have a voter ID elsewhere, give the details here. Your name will then be automatically removed from the rolls of your old constituency.
8. Click the "Translate" button to fill in the Telugu fields and then Submit.
9. Take a print-out / screenshot of your application with Application ID for future reference. If you've filled in your mobile number above, you should get a SMS with your application ID as well.

It will take about 1-2 months to get the application processed ; you can periodically search online at the CEO site ( E-Registration -> Know Your Status). Tip: searching with "Application ID" is faster.

If the EPIC number is allocated, it means you have been added to the electoral rolls. Reconfirm from "Search Your Name -> By EPIC".

Once it is processed, you should next get a laminated EPIC(Electoral Photo Identity Card) : in Hyderabad, do the following :

1. Take a printout from the "Know Your Status" link above
2. Go to any of the e-Seva centres mentioned therein.
3. You will receive your EPIC by paying a nominal amount of Rs.10/- .

c.       If you apply now, you would be included in the next year electoral rolls/records

How to install Android(Ice Cream Sandwich) on HP Touchpad

Finally, I've successfully installed ICS on HP touchpad in dual boot mode from Windows 8 - 64bit machine. Here is how I've successfully installed android on my HP touchpad

Warning: Installing a custom recovery image on the HP Touchpad will void the warranty.

Installation Steps:

i. ClockworkMod Recovery

1. Follow instructions under "Installing the SDK and PDK on a Windows PC" in the below article to install Java, webOS SDK(Novacom) and VirtualBox.

2. Copy the ACME Installer into the same folder as Novacom .ie. C:\Program Files (x86)\HP webOS

3. Connect the HP Touchpad to the computer via USB.

4. Once connected, tap the alert to enable Mass Storage Mode on the HP Touchpad.
5. Create folder "cminstall" in the root directory of the HP Touchpad
6. Copy the ClockworkMod Recovery & MOBoot zips into a folder "cminstall".
7. Reboot the HP Touchpad. Go to Settings -> Device Info -> Reset Options -> Restart from HP webOS.
8. Hold down the Volume Up button until an USB symbol appears on the screen.
9. Once the computer recognizes the HP Touchpad, open command prompt as administrator and navigate to the directory Novacom is in(i.e C:\Program Files (x86)\HP webOS).
10. In the command prompt of the computer and run the following command:
           novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller3
12. The ClockworkMod Recovery & MOBoot should now be installed on the HP Touchpad.

ii. Flashing CyanogenMod:

1. Place the CyanogenMod .zip and Google Apps Zip files into the cminstall directory of the HP Touchpad.
2. Restart the HP Touchpad - Go to Settings -> Device Info -> Reset Options -> Restart from HP webOS.
3. Once the screen goes black, hold down the Volume Up button until an USB symbol appears on the screen.
4. Once the computer recognizes the HP Touchpad, open command prompt and navigate to the directory Novacom is in (i.e C:\Program Files (x86)\HP webOS).
5. In the command prompt on the computer and run the following command:

   novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller

6. Once the installation finishes, the HP Touchpad should automatically boot directly into CyanogenMod.

To switch between webOS and Android:
   If you are in webOS, Go to Settings -> Device Info -> Reset Options -> Restart.
   If you are in Android, press switch-off button for few seconds. You will see option to reboot.
Use Volume keys to select between webOS or CyanogenMod(Android)

Note: Once the installation completes, zip files placed under the cminstall folder will be consumed

Troubleshooting:
Error 1: It is possible that novacom says: "failed to connect to server" especially if you just installed it.
Resolution: In that case, you have to run novacomd before. novacomd can be run from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\HP webOS\SDK\bin\novacomd\x86' or similar.

Error 2: If Google Apps didn't get installed, i.e you wont see Play Store icon in the HP touch pad and as well, the Google Apps.zip file will be in cminstall folder.
Resolution: Follow the below steps to install Google Apps

1. Boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery.
2. Once the device boots into the ClockworkMod Recovery, use the side volume buttons to move around and the power button to select.

   Optional: Select backup and restore to create a backup of current installation on the HP Touchpad.

3. Select the option to Wipe data/factory reset.
4. Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
5. Select Install zip from sdcard.
6. Select Choose zip from sdcard.
7. Select the Google Apps.zip.
8. Once the installation has finished, select +++++Go Back+++++ to get back to the main menu, and select the Reboot system now option. The HP Touchpad should now boot into CyanogenMod.

Installing Flash-Player to play Flash Videos with in the browser
1. Turn on 'Allow installing apps from other sources' in settings
2. Install .apk file from the below location

Tips:
1. Always use Eject option to exit from USB mode from Windows Explorer by right clicking the HP drive. Otherwise, webOS give message like 'Uhh it hurts blah blah...'
2. Enter into USB mode by booting into webOS
3. If you by mistake enter into the screen where it just displays the USB symbol and you want to get out of it, just run  novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller3 from command prompt.
